1. Who we are

UNIVERSALHOMEANDTECH LTD (ICO registration ZC044007) operates Torbie. For business customers we act as a processor of their visitors' chat data; for account data we are the controller.

2. What we process

Account data — business name, contact email, configuration.
Chat data — messages exchanged with the widget, an anonymous visitor identifier, and any details a visitor chooses to share (such as an email address).
Knowledge data — content businesses upload to train their agent.

3. AI processing

Chat messages are processed by third-party AI model providers to generate responses. We do not use your data to train AI models.

4. Data isolation and security

Each business's data is isolated at the database level (row-level security). Connector access is limited to fields the business explicitly allows, and all connector traffic is signed and encrypted in transit.

5. Retention, export and erasure

Businesses can export or erase a visitor's data at any time from their account. Visitors can request this via the business whose website they used.

6. Your rights

Under UK GDPR and equivalent laws (including CCPA) you may request access, rectification or erasure of your personal data. Contact us via torbiechat.com or lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority (in the UK, the ICO).
